1915 Calendar

Every month of 1915 as a printable table, with public holidays, ISO week numbers and the year's eclipses, moon phases and meteor showers.

1915 has 365 days, starts on a Friday, is not a leap year, and runs to 52 ISO weeks. It runs from Friday 1 January 1915 to Friday 31 December 1915. There are 7 United States federal holidays in 1915, two of which fall at a weekend and are kept on a different day. Worth knowing: 1 January 1915 falls in week 53 of 1914, not in week 1 of 1915.

  • ISO 8601 week number

Weeks start on Monday so that the week number in the left gutter applies to the whole row. ISO 8601 defines week 1 as the week containing the first Thursday of the year, which is why 1915 has 52 weeks and why 1 January is not always in week 1.

Meteor showers

Peak nights drift by about a day between years, because the Earth meets each stream at a fixed point in its orbit rather than on a fixed date. What changes the view far more is the Moon, so we compute how much of it is lit on the peak night of 1915.
